Floral Diversity and Ecological Drivers of Plant Assemblages in the Batanes Archipelago
Safeguarding the Unique Botanical Heritage of the Philippines’ Northernmost Frontier
Batanes Province contains some of the Philippines’ most distinctive floral ecosystems. Its isolated island geography, strong climatic forces, and deeply rooted Ivatan cultural traditions have shaped a unique biodiversity landscape. This PCAARRD-GIA funded project aims to assess and document the archipelagic flora against the pressures of global change scenarios.
