Community Resource Dependence & Public Engagement
To build targeted conservation strategies, the project assesses how heavily local municipalities rely on flora. Using stratified sampling across targeted barangays via Slovin’s formula, the team employs structured tools to gather local ecological insights:
- Household Interviews (HHI): Documenting local resource usage, agricultural practices, and direct dependencies on local plant species.
- Key Informant Interviews (KII): Executed with regional stakeholders from LGUs, the DENR, the Department of Agriculture, and community leaders to evaluate local policy and conservation dynamics.
